A demonstration Hillclimb celebrating the competitions of 1950-1967
The Firle Hillclimb was started by the Bentley Drivers Club who held the first event in 1949 and WO Bentley himself was present at the 1951running. Many famous names in motorsport were associated with the event but unfortunately it had to close in 1967 for safety issues. The course is quite short but remarkably steep, the record being held by David Good who posted a 22.78 second run in a BRM P67.
The event was revived by local enthusiast Rob Bryant in 2015 and has become a firm favourite with classic car owners. The event has raised nearly £25,000 for charity.
